Parametric Bookshelf
A small Blender asset for generating a bookshelf through geometry nodes, keeping the construction in the node graph so the shape can be adjusted without rebuilding it by hand.
Independent modelling and geometry-node work in Blender.
I made this as a reusable Blender asset, with the bookshelf's construction held in a geometry-node graph so changing the inputs could change the object that appeared in the scene, with the reusable file keeping the construction and its controls together when the asset moved between scenes.
The project is the blend file itself, and the repository includes the node setup and instructions for adding it to an asset library, which made it easy to bring into another scene.
It stayed a small modelling tool, though that is also the useful scale for it, as the work sits in how the object is constructed and how much of that construction remains adjustable.
The catalogue date follows the first preserved commit on 30 August 2023.
Outcome
A reusable parametric blend asset, preserved with its geometry-node setup. The cover is the original node-graph image from the project README.
