# BrontëHF

Brontë brought the design. I built the portfolio around it, with the project content in a CMS so they could keep updating it themselves.

Build, responsive work and CMS integration. The design was Brontë’s.

## The brief

Brontë designed it. I built it. They brought the direction and all the project material, so my job was getting that onto the web.

## It had to stay theirs to run

A finished portfolio is not much use if every text change needs me. So the content had to come out of the code into something Brontë could edit, without the front end becoming a template.

## The build

I used Astro for the front end and Decap CMS for the projects and pages, so Brontë can change the content themselves. GitHub Actions checks each release. The design stays in the components.

## What shipped

The live site includes Home, Projects, About, Contact, a CV, detailed project pages, responsive layouts, and a public “Site by Hamish Burke” credit.

## Outcome

A live portfolio with a footer credit and a publishing workflow Brontë uses without me.

Project content can be edited while checking the published result in the same workspace.
