# Bedroom Layout Designer

Bedroom Layout Designer is a browser tool for trying room arrangements with actual dimensions, keeping furniture, openings and measurements in the same editable plan.

I made a room planner around the parts that need to agree before a layout is useful, as the room dimensions, furniture and door openings all have to share the same scale, with the plan keeping those measurements in shared workspace state as each object was moved or resized.

The workspace supports multiple rooms and measurement units, with placement, rotation and resizing for furniture and openings, and undo and redo across edits so an arrangement can be tried without losing the previous one.

Plans save locally and can be exported as workspace files or PDFs, and I added tests around selection and state handling as those interactions determine whether the drawing stays predictable.

The catalogue date follows the first preserved commit on 2 December 2025.

## Outcome

A browser-based planning app with local persistence, offline support and PDF output. The preserved work runs from December 2025 through the interaction updates in February 2026.
