## Building

A plugin that turns Obsidian into the CMS for a site I’m building someone, so the writing and the publishing happen where they already keep their notes.

## Learning

Distributed systems. I’m going through Designing Data-Intensive Applications alongside Martin Kleppmann’s Cambridge lecture series. Currently on replication.

## Thinking about

Whether an eventually perfect failure detector tells you much, once its guarantee turns out to be conditional on the system model. I can’t decide, and it isn’t written up anywhere.

## Reading

Working through Nietzsche in roughly the right order, which I only worked out after stalling in the preface of Twilight of the Idols.
